North East
Archipelago di Maddalena - 7 beautiful islands, 5 of which are uninhabited, all surrounded by a national marine park ideal for snorkelling and swimming, accessed from Cannigione, Palau, Porto Pozzo and Santa Teresa.
Valle dell’Erica - A wonderful location with secluded coves and long white sandy beach of La Licciola, with stunning sea views to the Maddalena islands and Corsica beyond.
Santa Teresa - Stunning town beach of Rena Bianca and the Spiaggia dei Due Mari double bay at Capo Testa. Both have white sand and turquoise sea surrounded by fascinating rock formations carved by the wind.
Costa Smeralda - 'The Emerald Coast', a name inspired by the azure colour of the sea. With Porto Cervo at its centre, the coastline stretches 55km (34 miles) with more than 80 bays, rocky coves and sandy beaches such as the famous Capriccioli beach, the Spiaggia di Principe and Baia Sardinia. The Costa Smeralda won a World Travel Award for Europe's Leading Beach in 2007 and 2008 as voted by travel agents worldwide.

North West
Marinedda Beach - Situated on the headland near the picturesque fishing village of Isola Rossa.
Spiaggia della Pelosa Stintino - ‘Flour-fine white sand is lapped by crystalline shallow water in every shade of turquoise and hue of electric blue’.
Alghero
Alghero - Fertilia 5km stretch of white sandy beach and Spiaggia di Bombarde and Lazzeretto near Porto Conte.
Central
Cala Gonone - Access the dramatic east coast of Sardinia by boat and visit the renowned satellite beaches of Cala Goloritzè, Cala Mariolu, Cala Sisine and Cala Luna.
Costa Verde - Sardinia's wildest, most stunningly beautiful beaches south of Oristano on the west coast.
South
Chia - Famous for its fabulous beach, with a forest of Juniper trees and sand dunes as a backdrop to the beautiful white sands found here. Voted the best beach in Europe by readers of the Daily Telegraph in 2008.
Costa del Sud - Stretches 20km west from Capo Spartivento to Porto Teulada with a corner of paradise to be found at Tuerredda with soft, pure white sand and crystal clear sea.
Cagliari - Poetto beach, popular with the locals is just 5km from the city, and stretches for 11km with Marina Piccola for restaurants and ice creams!
Villasimius - Capo Carbonara is the most south-easterly point of Sardinia with a selection of stunning beaches including a double bay with the wide, sandy Spiaggia del Simius on the eastern side, flanked by a lagoon with pink flamingos, and Spiaggia del Riso on the other side.
Costa Rei - Beautiful 8km white sandy beach and along the 30km scenic coastal road to Villasimius some amazing beaches including Cala Pira, Cala Sinzias and Cala Marina.
