New rooms
La Villa del Re is reopening with 52 rooms -17 more than last year- consisting of 8 Junior Suites, 39 Superior Suites and 5 Classic Suites with sea or garden views and either a patio on the ground floor or a balcony on the first floor. Complete with bath or shower cabin featuring colour therapy, and equipped with the utmost in comfort and subtle, charming decor.
Beach and swimming pool
One of the hotel’s jewels is the magnificent beach along the front with the finest, white sand located just 80m from the hotel and reserved for guests. The seafront area is equipped with elegant beach umbrellas and sun beds made from hi-tech fabrics. The wide beach leads to the splendid turquoise sea at a point where the water is warmer than other areas of Sardinia, a feature that is cherished by the hotel’s guests. The parts of the beach adjacent to the area serviced by the hotel are often almost deserted, ensuring the ultimate in quiet, peaceful strolls.
Between the beach and the hotel is the swimming pool lined in white stone, typical of the area. The breathtaking infinity pool extends out to skim the beach, seeming to merge continuously with the blue of the sea. A new highlight for 2015 is a well-stocked bar on the terrace at the edge of the pool. With sea views and furnished with comfortable armchairs and tables under the palm grove, serving drinks and cold snacks both at the pool and on the beach, the bar is a welcome addition to the dining and refreshment options offered by the elegant Le Palme restaurant, located just a few steps away.
Restaurant
The hotel features its own restaurant situated on the ground floor with a terrace for outdoor dining. Once again, here you can enjoy panoramic views of the garden, pool area and sea. The dishes offer a new take on the best of traditional Mediterranean cuisine, as well as showcasing Sardinian specialities prepared with locally sourced ingredients ranging from the intense flavours of inland produce to delicacies direct from the sea in front of the hotel. Deserts and fresh pasta are made in-house.
